 Peachtree city was planned for and started in 1959. The city is split up into four separate villages, Braelinn ,Aberdeen, Glenloch and Kedron. Each area was built with all the modern amenities in mind, including parks, schools and shopping districts. From there we’ve been growing steadily. There are always plenty of new construction homes available and homes in every style from the past. Whatever you’re looking for in a home or a community, you can find your niche in Peachtree City.
Education in Peachtree City
The Fayette County School System is widely known as being one of the better systems in the state. There is every educational opportunity imaginable for every student. The Fayette County School System is one of the few systems to offer a night high school. With small class sizes aimed at giving each student the individual attention they need, most of our students succeed and graduate.
Peachtree City Attractions
With over 500 acres of Georgia’s natural beauty, the Flat Creek Nature Area features hundreds of native Georgia animals and plants. The Flat Creek Boardwalk allows you walk over terrain that might have otherwise been difficult, like the swamps and marshes so indicative of Georgia’s natural habitat. You can really get an up close look at the beasts, insects and plants that populate the area.
Not only is Tinsley Mill one of the spots to visit in Peachtree City, but it’s also one of our most beautiful neighborhoods. Have a picnic at the site important to the history of Peachtree City and Fayetteville County.
To accommodate the avid golfers in the area, Peachtree City is home to three golf courses. With 27 championship holes, Flat Creek Golf Club and Course is the largest course in the area. Both Braelinn and Planterra courses have 18 holes. They are medium-length courses that offer a challenge no matter what skill level you’re at.
